+ How long will it take to receive my results?
You will receive your results 12-48 hours from your sample’s arrival at the lab. You may receive results in less than that amount of time.
+ How will I receive my results when they are ready?
When your results are ready, you will receive a notification via text, email, and on the "Sick" App if you have downloaded it. You may log into your secure patient portal using your phone number or email (make sure you use the same phone number / email as the one you used to register). Here, you will find your result and a PDF of your official Lab Report.

If you are positive or if you have additional questions regarding your Test or health status, you can easily schedule a telemedicine consultation through the link provided in your Test result message.
Telehealth visits are billed to your insurance and do not require a copay from you. If patients do not have insurance, their consults are covered by the CARES Act. Patients can generally be seen within 45 min of requesting a visit between the hours of 9am-6pm PST.
You may download the HIPAA Secure "Sick" App while waiting for the results for iPhone at https://curogram.com/sick.app/xx3vmz3z or for Android Phone at https://curogram.com/sick.app/ryaeuq4t.
+ How accurate is this Test for detecting the Coronavirus (COVID-19)?
This Test has a validated sensitivity and a validated specificity of more than 98%. The false positive rate for this Test is less than 1% and the false negative rate is 2%. Less than 1% of samples are rejected for contamination or other issues.
+ What does it mean if I have a positive Test result?
A positive result means that the SARS-CoV-2 virus was found in your sample. This result is indicative of the presence of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid; clinical correlation with patient history and other diagnostic information is necessary to determine patient infection status. Positive results do not rule out bacterial infection or co-infection with other viruses.
+ What should I do if I receive a positive result?
If you have received a positive result, you should seek advice from a healthcare professional. We are partnered with a Telehealth provider through our partner Curogram. After you complete your Test, Curogram will deliver your results via text message, email, and through their mobile app.

You can also seek medical advice from another physician. For more information about what to do if you are positive, please see guidelines from the CDC website.
+ What should I do if I get a positive result, but I don’t have symptoms?
If your test comes back positive, but you do not have any symptoms, please follow the CDC guidelines. A significant portion of patients with COVID-19 are asymptomatic.
+ What if my Biotech Accelerated Test is positive, but I took a different Test that came back negative?
There is less than a 1% chance that you have received a false positive. There are many Tests on the market with high rates of false negative results, so if you received a negative result from a different Test with a lower level of accuracy, then it is more likely that your negative result is incorrect than it is that your positive result with our test is incorrect.
Also, if you took the other test after taking this test, it may be that your body cleared itself of the virus during the time between tests.
Finally, if you took the other test before taking this test, it may be that you were infected at some point between taking your tests.
+ What does it mean if I have a negative Test result?
A negative result means that the SARS-CoV-2 virus was not found in your sample. This result does not preclude SARS-CoV-2 infection and should not be used as the sole basis for patient management decisions. Negative results must be combined with clinical observations, patient history, and epidemiological information. Negative results for SARS-CoV-2 RNA from saliva should be confirmed by Testing of an alternative specimen type if clinically indicated.
+ What does it mean if my result is “Not Determined?”
A result of “Not determined” means that the lab was unable to obtain a valid result for the specimen submitted. It is recommended that another specimen be submitted for Testing. Be careful to follow the instructions carefully when collecting your sample. Samples are rejected less than 1% of the time.
+ What do I do if I experience severe symptoms?
If you experience severe symptoms at any point during the Testing process, seek immediate medical attention.
+ What should I do if I feel sick, but I received a negative result?
If you are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, please seek medical attention immediately and follow CDC guidelines. Your negative result means that the SARS-CoV-2 virus was not found in your sample at the time of collection, but it is possible that you may have been infected with COVID-19 after collecting your sample. In very rare cases, you may also have received a false negative result.
+ What should I do if I have more questions about my result?
If you are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, please seek medical attention immediately and follow CDC guidelines.
